Chapter 278
- Irene’s POV
- I ran through the woods with all of my strength exerting my wolf muscles. My paw slammed the earth vigorously. I bet the lives in it would feel my heat. I had nowhere else to pour the frustration that I was feeling and I didn’t want to take it out on anyone. As it stands, I am on the verge of crying out. This wasn’t what I signed up for. If I knew this was going to be a part of my life, I might have done everything it would take to avoid it. My life seems to be taking the difficult path at every step I take.
- Tears burned my eyes as I kept going. Those buffoons! Don't they understand the pressure that I already feel? So many lives are depending on me and I am expected to bring them to safety. Also, win back their home no matter what. And there are my children who have done nothing to deserve this world of chaos. I feel ashamed to admit that I might be tired of fighting.
