• I pulled Zara close, wrapping my arms around her. We were lying on the bed, just cuddling. It felt so good. I tried to push all the worries away. The mark on her shoulder, the race against time, the fact we had to leave soon...none of that mattered right now. Just being close to her was enough. Especially since we were getting along, not arguing for once.
• She made a little soft sound and snuggled closer, her bare skin against mine. It felt amazing.
