- The nurse at the lobby looks up as I walk in through the glass doors. I pause, scanning faces, nurses rushing past with clipboards, the hum of conversation blending with the rhythmic beeping of machines somewhere deeper inside.
- I wish this were the same hospital where Jace took Alina. At least then, I’d catch a glimpse of him just to know if Alina is okay. But this isn’t the pack hospital.
