Chapter 48 Eight

• Since I met Marie again three days ago, we became inseparable. I found out she was nineteen and had gotten her wolf the year before. Like me, she was in her last year of school and in the same department as Eva. I’ve never been to Eva’s class before so maybe that’s why I did not meet her in the days I was looking for her. I later found out that after our time together in the garden, she'd been absent until the morning we met again.
• The rumors about me being a snob were quickly swallowed up when people began to always see me and Marie together. She was always waiting in front of my class once it was lunch time and then we would go to the garden together.
• We spent half of the time in silence: she, with her nose buried in a book and me, just staring into space. The remaining half was spent with her telling me about our kingdom and stories from all the books she loved to read.
