Chapter 16 Sixteen

• Those words she just spoke as she broke down in tears healed my trauma of eighteen years. I’ve always wondered if my parents were alive and if they were, have they tried to look for me, were they still looking for me or have they given up and concluded that I was dead since they lost me during the war?
• Everything she just said has closed the gap and answered that question. Their presence alone was enough to heal me.
• I did not have to ask anyone to know that these people standing right here were my parents. It was not just about the hair. It was about the feeling. Feeling of blossoming joy and peace suddenly enveloped me as I stood there frozen in shock as the woman, my mother cried and the man whom I was unsure of his identity tried his best to console her.
