Chapter 22 Two
- I just knew that Simon felt awkward because of the way he stiffened when I hugged him and how long it took him to start patting my back and telling me that it was alright even if he did not what was making me weep.
- I cried for a long time until the stone in my chest melted away and I could breathe freely. I eased away from Simon and he let me go. Embarrassment flooded me when I sat back against the headboard and concentrated on his face.
- “I’m sorry about that,” I sniffed.
