Tia didn't tell Elizabeth about her impending meeting with Steve.
Elizabeth was smiling when Tia left home in the morning, but her smile betrayed a sense of helplessness. However, Tia didn't ask her about it. Since Elizabeth didn't tell her about it, she decided to pretend to know nothing. Not only that, but she even reminded Cynthia to pretend that she had never asked her anything the night before. She made up an excuse, saying that she had to accompany Lewis to the hospital for a follow-up checkup.
Elizabeth believed Tia's story and asked them to come home at noon for lunch.
