Chapter 54 Shannon's Pregnancy

  • While Lewis' leg injury would take him a long time to recover, he spent the next two weeks in the hospital. However, there was nothing serious about his condition besides the inflammation that happened in the first few days, but even so, that didn't place Tia's mind to ease as she kept confronting the doctor about Lewis' condition. Despite Lewis' optimistic recovery, the doctor opined that he would have to be bedridden for a month or two since he suffered from a fracture that had worsened his old wound.
  • In the meantime, Tia carried on with her life, traveling to and fro between her office and the hospital as she had gotten used to the hassle with time. Apart from that, she also got the hang of finding a comfortable sleeping posture while sharing the bed with Lewis without hurting him and compromising her sleep quality.
  • When the weekend rolled around, she went to the hospital with the soup her grandmother made for Lewis. While she stayed home the night before, Elizabeth was initially planning to accompany Tia to visit Lewis, but she rejected the old lady's suggestion. After all, the hospital was filled with various kinds of viruses everywhere, and she didn't want to put her grandmother's health at risk, considering the fact that she had just undergone surgery.
