Chapter 69

  • Aurora’s POV
  • Shifting into my wolf form during the day was the strangest thing I’d done in years. The sun blazed down, casting harsh shadows that seemed to mock my desperation. Ever since I began living among humans, I’d ensured that I only shifted at night, no matter how pressing or dire the situation. The safety of darkness had become my shield. But now, daylight bore witness to my frantic escape.
  • The fear that gripped me was visceral, clawing at my insides with a ferocity that made it hard to think straight. The Lycans had found me, and the realization that they were closing in felt like an icy hand clenching around my heart. As my wolf form sprinted through the streets, each breath came in ragged bursts, and the ground beneath my paws felt like a cruel treadmill, pushing me towards an uncertain fate.
