Chapter 19

Aurora’s POV
I rushed to the bathroom, turning on the faucet and grabbing my bath soap with haste. The water needed to be scalding hot, so I activated the heating system to its maximum setting. The metallic scent of blood clung to me, making my stomach churn.
Stripping off my clothes, I stepped beneath the shower and scrubbed my skin until it turned a rosy hue. My wolf's recklessness could very well be the end of me. My heart raced, and my blood boiled as the water pounded against my body in torrents. For a brief moment, the only sound was the rushing water.
