• Aurora’s POV
• The second I sensed Lucian's powerful presence behind me, every nerve ending in my body tingled with excitement and raw desire, as it always did when he was near. I had been organizing files on my desk, sorting them by date and category, and putting them into folders. Reaching for the last file, I accidentally knocked over a stack of folders and binders, scattering them across the floor.
• Cursing under my breath, I got off my chair and bent down to pick them up, realizing Lucian was nearby. He stood outside my door, silent but his eyes conveyed everything I needed to know. The fire of desire ignited within me, like a hungry flame.
