- “It’s likely,” Gary finally says after a long silence. “Vampires do much more than just drain blood when they drink it.” His tone is grave, and the truth in his words sends unease through the room.
- “For all we know, Baron and his clan could be more dangerous now than ever,” Brad adds, his voice steady but filled with warning. His words pull every bit of hope out of the room.
