• As soon as I give the order, Desmond and Maxwell take off running.
• Desmond leaps forward at a breathtaking speed, his hands raised. The light bulbs from the streetlights surrounding us begin to explode one after another. Sparks of electricity flash through the air and gather in his palms, forming violent arcs that light up the dark street. The vampires scream in panic and scatter, but Desmond is faster. He moves through the chaos like lightning itself, his power showing no mercy.
