Chapter 29 A Fiery Warning

  • Diana wasn’t sure how she managed to keep herself upright as she returned to the Manor and did her duties as a good Luna of Moonfyre. It seemed as if she moved in autopilot as she comforted the terrified people, tended to the few who got injured, and distributed food, water, and calming tonics to everybody.
  • Those with children were given priority to the bedchambers that were readily available for use, while the ones who were hurt due to their attempt to rescue as much of their possessions were stationed in the Manor’s biggest parlor that was turned into an infirmary by Florence and all the staff members.
  • Meanwhile, the rest had to settle in the training ground, which had been set up with numerous mats, cushions, and blankets. At the center of the ground was ironically a bonfire on an iron cauldron, meant to keep the chilliness of the crisp night breeze at bay.
