Chapter 21 Diana's Decision
- There was an imploring look in Alistair’s gaze, which was disconcertingly foreign and out of place in his handsome face.
- In the scant and infrequent time Diana had with him in the few days she had been in Moonfyre, Alistair had always worn three things: a mask of indifference and nonchalance, a ghost of a smile with a twinkle of mirth in his eyes, and a flimsy armor that could barely contain the raging tornado of frustration, anger and pain over Diana’s insistence on breaking their bond.
- The sight of Alistair wearing a beseeching gaze, which also held pure hope underneath, and a small but endearing frown was enough to rock Diana out of balance from the spot she swore she would remain unmoving, from the decision she had resolutely vowed to keep.
