Chapter 10 An Unwelcome Companion
- Diana ventured to the Capitol Square as soon as she finished her breakfast. She was wearing a faint green linen pinafore that went far beyond her knees, and she matched it with a white shirt, the sleeves folded until her elbows. And since it was a good sunny day, she completed her ensemble with a mossy green cashmere cloak, which was the thinnest one she could find in her wardrobe. So she had made a mental note to add a cloak or two in her shopping list.
- The way to the heart of Moonfyre was quite straightforward, an information she was able to covertly squeeze out of Florence during breakfast. She simply had to leave the vast estate of the Moonfyre Manor, and from the gate, a straight and well-paved dirt path, lined with trees on either side, directly led to the Capitol Square.
- ‘Hm… I didn’t know the Manor is quite secluded from the rest of the territory.’
