Chapter 12 The Walk To The Capitol Square
- Diana would never admit to spending an hour or so in just deciding what to wear for her planned afternoon out with Alistair. It wasn’t even a date, so there wasn’t really a perfectly good reason for her to put so much effort.
- She had always put comfort above else when it came to the clothes she wore when she was still Diana Martinez. But it wasn’t like she didn’t enjoy dressing up. She was still, after all, a girl. She did place an effort to look nice for herself from time to time to get a semblance of confidence and a dose of happiness from looking cute. But to spend a long stretch of time choosing clothes alone was a record she hadn’t made before.
- In the end, she chose to wear an off-shoulder white top with flared out sleeves that hid her wrists and a small portion of her palms. The bodice of the top hugged her upper body well and tight, nearly giving an impression of a corset. She then paired the apparel with a deep brown skirt that brushed past her knees. A thick black leather belt hugged her lower waist area, giving her outfit a more cohesive look.
