Chapter 48 Amethyst (POV)

• It took a week, but we finally found a nanny that fit the bill. Yes, she is an older grandmotherly type who dotes on the twins. She is a widow and has a grown son and daughter and they have pups. It was her kids that suggested she should apply as she is all alone in her little house with nothing to do. I am glad to have found her. She seems to be taken with me as well.
• I have been wondering what punishment Chase had set for Christine as I have not seen her in the cells that day of Lisa’s punishment. He informed me she too had lashings and was banished from the pack. With that done I took to going back for training and feeling stronger. It has been a month since the incident with Lisa and so far, she has left us alone and is finishing her schooling. I also heard she turns eighteen in a few days, and I hope she does find her mate, then she will understand a mate bond. Well, one can only hope.
• Chase and my relationship have gotten only stronger with all the trials that we went through, and I feel more blessed each day I have him. As for the rogue attacks? It seems to have quieted down and Chase believes it is building to something big. He just has no idea what, but he is not letting his guard down and has doubled security around the borders.
