Chapter 33 Chase (POV)

• Everything is dark, yet I hear voices. I think I hear my mate, but the voices are soft. Is she crying? I want to open my eyes, but I can’t seem to. My eyelids are too heavy. I want to assure her that I am ok. I need to assure her. Last I knew she was in labor. How are the pups? I want to see my pups. Why is Ammie here and not with our pups? Did something happen to them? I begin to get concerned. I feel my heart racing at the thought that something has happened to my pups.
• I need to wake up. I need to find out how my pups are doing. I feel myself begin to panic; my breathing became erratic when all of a sudden everything went dark.
• I hear beeping and I feel someone holding my hand. I slowly open my eyes and close them as the bright light blinded me, slowly opened them, noticed the white walls, and knew I was in the pack hospital. I look over to see who held my hand and noticed Ammie asleep with her head down on the bed as she sits on the chair while holding my hand.
