Chapter 28

• The entire ride back to the Bennett mansion was as quiet as a graveyard, of course aside the sound of the car engine softly humming in the background. I didn’t know how to feel about Ethan, first he saved Mami’s life, and then he broke her heart.
• As we arrived at the Bennett mansion, I was quick to notice the Toyota Land Cruiser out in the front Yard, I knew that wasn’t one of Ethan’s, but it had the Bennett customized plate number and so I was sure it was family.
• I turned to him as he parked the car but he just sighed. “Come on Sophie, don’t be nosey.” He said in a soft voice. There was however worry in his eyes and that made e curious on who could be waiting for us inside.
