Chapter 12

• I got down stairs to meet Natalie walking into the sitting room while on a phone call, she shot me an annoying glance and rolled her eyes before walking to the couch. I was going to evade her and head up to Alex’s room but she snapped her fingers, signaling that I stayed put.
• I couldn’t believe her audacity, I just scoffed and stood while she continued to giggle at the phone. I couldn’t help but wonder who was on the other side of the phone, who wants to be friends with such a terrible person?
• “Where is my man?” she suddenly asked as she ended the call.
