- The morning air was crisp as I hurried through the hotel lobby, dropping the room key at the front desk. The receptionist smiled at me, thanking me for staying with them, but I barely acknowledged her. My mind was racing. I had barely slept, and I was running late. My flight was in thirty minutes, and I still had to get through security.
- Pushing through the revolving doors, I spotted my cab waiting outside. I rushed over, sliding into the backseat as I exhaled heavily. "Airport, please. As fast as you can."
- The driver nodded and pulled out of the hotel’s driveway, but barely a few seconds later, the car came to an abrupt stop.
