Chapter 67
- The cold stone beneath me was unforgiving. I could feel the dampness seeping into my skin, the biting chill of the air creeping in through the cracks in the walls. My body ached like it had been beaten from every angle. I could barely move, but that didn’t stop my thoughts from racing. Every inch of me screamed in agony, but nothing hurt worse than the betrayal gnawing at my gut.
