Chapter 4
- What was I thinking? How could I have spilled my thoughts out so easily? Damn I was going to get it from this ruthless Prince.
- "You shouldn't command me to kiss you. If you want me to kiss you, you have to beg for it. ", he replied.
- "It was a slip of the tongue. You shouldn't take it seriously", I let out feeling embarrassed.
- "Really?", he asked, moving closer. I could see his beautiful lips clearly and for one reason I wanted them on mine. They were pink and really attractive to bite.
- "Teach me how to be strong. I want to be strong and not the weak werewolf I once was. I am an original without the power to wolf out, I need your help", I found myself saying as I stared into his eyes.
- "That does it. You should get yourself some sleep. The serum seems to be messing with your head big time", he chuckled before leaving the room.
- A week after training began. From the very first day of training, I knew I was in for it. Death stared at me every single day of training as he let out a deadly training assignment. I mean who the hell would make you run in a land mine field as training?
- He was truly ruthless. He didn't care if I threw up blood or almost got myself killed in one of the training sessions. All he cared about was perseverance and his ego.
- The training of the day was to climb to the top of the cliff where I had fallen. It was steep and marshy, any slight mistake could make me fall straight down and break a bone or two.
- "This is too dangerous for me", I declared.
- "You are not a kid anymore, survive and you pass. I don't have to teach you everything." His voice is synchronous and strict at the same time.
- As I approached the cliff, I began to remember everything that happened that night. I had been thrown off the cliff by the guards Mike had sent to see me off. They all wanted me dead just because I seemed quite ordinary than the rest of the pack. They were going to get it if they tried anything with me.
- I began to climb the cliff with the little courage left in me. I could feel my heart about to leap out every time my leg slipped a little. I always knew death was inevitable but I couldn't die so soon after healing.
- I managed to get to the cliff top but what met my eyes was just too huge for me to take in. Right before me stood Kelly Vixen and Mike Freeman. They seemed to be having a heated discussion about something and I kind of wanted to hear it.
- "You know I love you Mike", she touched his chest in an attempt to clutch his sexual hormones.
- "You know what we are up against. Do you think Rachael is dead? She isn't that easy to destroy and you know it more than anyone", Mike replied to her as he threw her hand away.
- "Rachael Snyder is an outcast. No outcast just dies solo. I know what I am saying, if she's dead I would know immediately.", Mike added.
- Just then Kelly spotted me. I knew I had to jump off or do something better before her curiosity was piqued but I was afraid of death. Kelvin wasn't all Mr nice, he would probably leave me to fall and heal once more.
- The sound of footsteps brought me back to reality. Kelly was approaching me slowly and with a knife this time. She was going to kill me at the very least and make sure my body wasn't found. Things she'd do for love.
- She was just steps away from me when I let go of my grip, falling once more. This was probably going to be the end of me, the end of a weakling. A mere prodigy to be killed to keep the world moving. An outcast, a rugged werewolf.
- "You should be more careful when jumping next time. If not for precision I would probably be unable to catch you.", Kelvin's voice echoed in my ears. He had caught me before I landed on the ground. He liked to prove all my theories about him wrong.
- Our eyes met and I began to feel a little funny in my stomach. He was ruthless but loving at the same time, an ideal definition of a man.
- "Let's head back before the sun goes back in", I dictate trying to get down from his arms.
- "I am not letting you go. Not this time at least", he said as we headed back to the Tavern. Upon hearing those words my cheeks flushed red and I could hear myself throwing a party in my mind.
- I never knew the Ruthless Lycan Prince could have a soft spot at the very least.
- The Tavern was far more quiet than any other day. Everyone seemed to be out doing something which I wasn't informed of. Kelvin didn't seem bothered about that instead he carried me straight to the hall.
- "HAPPY BIRTHDAY RACHAEL!!!", came the numerous voices as the door of the hall opened. It seemed pretty unrealistic to me as no one had ever celebrated me up to this day. I had even forgotten about my birthday due to all the incidents happening in my life. The price to pay for being such a burden.
- "How did you guys know that today is my birthday?", I asked, astonished by the bright decorations and the layers of cake and toppings in the hall.
- "Prince Kelvin told us. He wanted to make it Grand for you so he decided to host your birthday here.", the nurse explained. She seemed to be related to Kelvin in a way I couldn't imagine.
- "You did this?", I asked knowing how cruel he was to me the past couple of weeks.
- "Can you believe it?", he blocked my thoughts with another question making me reason to another side.
- "Thank you Kelvin", I hugged him tight. There was an uproar of applause as he placed his hands on my waist, hugging me back. I couldn't believe I would be celebrating my birthday with everyone in another territory.
- "Sir Kelvin, there is an intruder in the province".
