Chapter 18

• I knew something was wrong the moment we stepped onto this land but I couldn't figure out what it was. I stood frozen beside Kelvin and Logan, my eyes piercing through the Alpha who had just mentioned I was the needed one. A group of wolves who had come along with him blocked the narrow pathway ahead of us. I saw their eyes glowing under the dim moonlight like they were going to devour us. Their posture screamed authority and dominance but Kelvin stood tall. They weren’t just patrolling around us, instead they were alert and watching us.
• "Turn back," one of the warriors growled, with his voice deep and commanding. "She cannot pass." He dropped.
• My body became tense. She? Who? Me? Kelvin stepped forward, I tried reading his expression but no way it was unreadable.
