Chapter 21

• After a short conversation with Amely, Helena locked her phone and stared at the dead torso of the lycan on the tiles. Her friend had already sent men to take care of the two other bodies twenty floors down. She had a lot to make up for to Amely. She was really grateful she had such a good and understanding friend, also a daughter of an Alpha.
• Helena turned towards the door to the terrace and saw Keiran only in his jeans, bringing her a blanket. His healthy skin and beaming smile made all restraint vanish from her body, and she jumped into his arms. Her heart sang when he enveloped the blanket he was carrying around her shoulders and squeezed her to himself.
• “I'm sorry,” he said and put his head on her shoulder. “I promise I'll deal with that. I'll deal with them and myself,” he added, addressing what happened before the lycans showed up.
