• Stepping in front of Keiran, she saw he had his eyes closed and he was drowning in his misery. She lifted her hand and gently put it on his cheek, making him open his eyes. The darkness that shot her through them made her chin quiver. She put her lips on his, not letting him speak another word.
• Her kiss was obsessive and yearning; it was filled with love and pain, hoping it would prove her love for her mate. She needed him like she needed air. As cheesy as it sounded, she realized it was true, and she couldn't even imagine denying it.
