• Mikaela knew when they had to go. She had calculated everything. It was time for the guards to change their shifts, so a few of them were a bit more distracted than necessary. They were talking about drinks, fun, sex. Just the casual stuff after a shift at work.
• Helena felt like grunting at the outrageousness of their conversations. They were all exaggerating with their explanations, and toxic masculinity was filling the air. But when she noticed the smirk on Shawn's face, she also smiled. She couldn't deny she had enjoyed her time with the lycans and their company back home. Igor and the rest knew how to have fun and didn't hold back.
• Guilt rose in her chest. What was Igor doing now? He was probably apeshit-crazy with worry because of their disappearance.
