• The next day, when she opened her eyes, Brynlee was grateful that she was still in bed and still curled up like a baby under the blanket. She slept with her back to Elyseen last night, and now she was still in that position. Her eyes blinked a few times to adjust to the brightly lit atmosphere in Elyseen's room. The white lights had been turned on throughout the room. The yellow lights had been turned off, and she didn't feel Elyseen's presence around her anymore.
• Brynlee looked to her left. Elyseen was standing next to the bed and buttoning up his shirt one by one. His hard chest muscles peeked shyly from the pale blue shirt he was wearing. Brynlee was mesmerized by the sight before her. Her nose was spoiled by Elyseen's masculine scent, mint, and the alluring scent of wood. Brynlee's heart sank when a drop of water suddenly dripped from the tip of Elyseen's wet hair and seeped right onto the sheets in front of her eyes. She wanted to scream at how hot Elyseen was, but she held herself back.
