Chapter 96 Move In To Elyseen's Room

  • Cassandra narrowed her eyes. He seemed to hear the sound of a door slamming loudly and the noise of two humans speaking in muffled voices. She was sure it was her son and daughter-in-law. But it's strange that they came home in such bad condition. At least, the sound of the door slamming indicated that. She couldn't believe the wind had just slammed the door shut. He didn't see the branches swaying in the wind from Levi's bedroom window. So, it was obvious that the door had just been slammed on purpose.
  • Cassandra put Levi’s book onto the nightstand, then she tiptoed out of his room. She didn't want to wake him up after the long struggle to get him to sleep tonight. Levi was so cranky because he hadn't seen Brynlee yet, and he insisted on waiting for her to come home, but he was actually very sleepy.
  • As soon as she made it out of Levi's room without making a sound, she immediately trotted down the stairs to see what was going on. The noise was still there. And was getting louder and clearer at the end of the stairs, but she couldn't quite grasp the contents of their conversation. Only hoarse voices sounded angry and annoyed.
