Chapter 15 The Icy Cold Brother-in Law

• “No problem, Mrs. Cassandra. I love looking after Levi. He's very cute and smart."
• Brynlee arrived around eight thirty at Elyseen's house in an Uber. She still hadn't gotten a new car and her insurance was still in progress. She was late because she had to take care of some things at the police station. She was even asked to testify in court in two weeks to determine the punishment for the truck driver. The judge had declared the man absolutely guilty of driving under the influence of alcohol. And because the truck driver was at fault, Brynlee will receive compensation from the company that employed the driver. But all of that required a process. She was asked to complete various documents required by the company to disburse the compensation money. Brynlee was really annoyed with all the bureaucracy that made things difficult for her. If she didn't need a new car, she wouldn't care about the compensation money.
