Chapter 17 The Icy Cold Brother-in Law

• He watched her leave from the gap in the curtain. He wasn't going to risk Brynlee finding out he was watching her from behind her closed window. He was really stupid to think he would feel happy after kicking her out, but he didn't. When he saw the sadness on her face, his heart sank and beat fast. He was like a very evil devil. He had hurt her heart so cruelly. Her shoulders shook before she got into the taxi and slammed the door shut.
• His body was still glued behind the window, staring at the empty road that stretched out in front of his house. The taxi had just left, but it was as if Elyseen could still see Brynlee's fragile figure in front of his house. Yeah, he was crazy!
• With a huff, he backed away and headed for the kitchen. He wanted to get some water from the fridge before getting into bed. He needed to clear his mind and get rid of the image of Brynlee's crying face. For some reason, he became very skeptical of her and considered her a threat.
