Chapter 13 The Icy Cold Brother-in Law

  • Not many changes occurred in his life. The empty side next to him was no big deal. He slept soundly last night, even though he shouldn't have. A normal husband would mourn the death of his wife for months, or even years, because the person he loved most was gone forever, but Elyseen didn't. Lillah's death left sadness in his heart, but only sadness. He didn't feel anything more sentimental than that. The fact that he was sleeping alone in his spacious bed didn't bother him at all.
  • He kept wondering to himself ever since he woke up five minutes ago, is it normal for a husband to sleep soundly after his wife's death? The answer was no. Even if he had asked his father, he would have been very angry if he knew that last night he had slept very well and there were hardly any problems apart from the sound of the alarm disturbing his sleep.
  • He took a deep breath and quickly got up from his bed. He left his bed a mess as he had to hurry to take a shower. He had a meeting at eight in the Lounge of a prestigious hotel in Atlanta. It was an important meeting to replace yesterday's meeting. Twenty minutes before yesterday's meeting started, he got a call from the police telling him that his wife had been in a car accident and was in critical condition. He had no other choice but to cancel the meeting and act like a normal husband when he got a call telling him about his wife.
