Chapter 42 Marianna

• He doesn't stop until his feet are on either side of mine and I'm caged in between him and the wall. He could overpower me at any moment but there isn't a sliver of fear in my bones.
• Sighing he says "I don't like this Marianna. Seeing you with all these bruises and knowing someone did this to you on purpose, infuriates me. If I could, I would bring that back and make him regret touching you" he pinches his nose looking upwards then down back at me "I've seen battered women before but none of them have made me feel the way I do right now. What are you doing to me?"
