• We arrived home after what seemed like an eternity, and when I looked out, I realized I had been taken to Oleander's house rather than my apartment. The driver exited and opened the younger woman's door. She exited, and I did the same, clinging to the blanket since I was naked underneath.
• There was no one in sight as we entered, and my mind raced, wondering why I had been brought here. Was Oleander waiting for me here? I had no idea if the ceremony would take place or what was going on, and I had to admit that the uncertainty was killing me.
