• A deep sigh ripped through my chest as Oleander and I stepped out of the bank, relieved that the process was complete, and his hand instinctively found mine. “Anywhere else you want to go?” he asked in an attentive soft tone, and I shook my head. “No, I’m done.”
• He said, "All right, let's get something to eat," a smile on his lips before leaning in and kissing my forehead, pulling me into a hug. I agreed, wrapping my arms around him and savoring his warmth as the faint current that ignited where our skins met sent delicious tingles down my spine. He asked, "Do you have a place in mind?" I didn't. I was happy to go wherever he wanted.
