Chapter 50 Crispy

• “What’s wrong?” Oleander asked, reaching over to take my hand. We were at one of our favorite restaurants, eating and talking, but my thoughts kept wandering back to Aaron. The last time I heard from him was three months ago when he and Orm returned from Bruson.
• He arranged for us to meet, and I met him at Cozy Corner. That meeting resulted in Oleander and me moving out of his parents' house. Oleander was uncomfortable with me meeting Aaron in public places. Aaron was a known hunter since the night the base was ambushed by wolves, and unlike before, when the wolves had no idea who the hunters were, he was no longer safe.
