Chapter 7 Beginning Of A New Life

• The day ended in a blur, and before Ann could completely grasp things, she was now seated in a car driving towards the palace. It was a black SUV, and it smelled nice, but that didn't help release the stiffness in Ann's shape.
• It was just her and the driver, so with nothing to do but wait for her destination, Ann busied herself with enjoying the view of the buildings and people they drove past, even though she could feel the driver's burning gaze from time to time.
• After what seemed like forever, Ann grew bored and decided to sleep, only to be woken up by the sound of a loud trumpet. She opened her eyes to see the car door wide open and the driver standing beside it. "We have arrived," was the second thing he had said to her that morning.
