Chapter 50 Something Strange
- The moonlight filtered through the tall windows of the library, casting a silver glow on the polished wooden tables and the stacks of books that surrounded Ann and Darius. The school day had ended hours ago, but the two of them had stayed behind, engrossed in their project. - Ann leaned back in her chair, rubbing her temples. “I think my brain is officially fried,” she said with a sigh. “How are you not tired?”
- Darius smirked, his eyes still scanning the page in front of him. “I’ve had worse. This is nothing.”
