• Nicole stepped out of her apartment, ready to take on the day at the office. As she turned to lock the door, she was suddenly pinned against it by Gage. His hands were on either side of her head, his face inches from hers.
• Nicole's eyes widened in shock, and she pushed against Gage's chest, trying to create some space between them. "What are you doing, Gage?" she demanded, her voice angry and frightened.
• Gage's eyes blazed with anger and jealousy. "You need to leave, Jack," he growled, his voice low and menacing.
