Chapter 39

• Nicole sat in front of the mirror, expertly applying her makeup. She was almost done when her eyes fell on the bright red hickey on her neck. She let out a frustrated sigh and glared at her reflection.
• Just then, Gage walked out of the bathroom, a towel wrapped around his waist. Nicole's eyes narrowed as she turned to face him, her fake anger evident on her face.
• "Look at this!" she exclaimed, pointing to the hickey on her neck. "What am I supposed to do with this?"
