• Nicole's eyes sparkled with amusement as Gage pulled her closer, his face inches from hers. She pretended to be angry, her voice laced with fake indignation. "What do you think you're doing?" she asked, trying to sound stern.
• Gage just chuckled and pushed her towards the pool wall, trapping her between his arms. Nicole's back was against the cool tile, and Gage's body was pressed against hers, his eyes gleaming with mischief.
• "What are you doing?" Nicole asked again, her voice a little breathless. Nicole’s fake anger started to slip, replaced by a growing sense of excitement. "I'm still angry," she said, trying to sound convincing.
