• Nicole followed Jack and Hazel into the house; she couldn't help but notice the colorful birthday decorations that adorned the walls and tables. There were balloons, streamers, and a big banner that read "Happy Birthday Sarah!"
• "Ah, I see it's someone's special day today," Nicole said, smiling at the little girl who was bouncing around the room, excitement radiating from her face.
