• Two days had passed since Nicole's accident, and she was finally being discharged from the hospital. Ashley was pushing her wheelchair through the corridor while Jack carried her bag. Nicole was smiling, looking relieved to be going home.
• As they turned a corner, Gage walked into the corridor, his eyes scanning the area until they landed on Nicole. He quickened his pace, his long strides eating up the distance.
• "Hey, where are you guys off to?" Gage asked, his eyes locked on Ashley.
