Yan Anmo's phone had GPS tracking, so Xi Zhiheng sent someone to search for taxi's in the vicinity of the factory. Finally, they brought Yan Anmo home.
But, because of the fact that Su Ci was still in that place, her body was trembling non-stop. She was feeling extremely uncomfortable and guilty, and these feeling were pushing her to the verge of collapse!
That was clearly enough for both their lives!
All it took was one sentence, but why did Xi Zhiheng refuse to save Su Ci?
A few hours later, Xi Zhiheng caught a private jet back.
Even he couldn't explain his panic.
When he arrived in the living room, he saw the vulnerably trembling Yan Anmo. Without hesitation, he walked over to hug her.
But, Xi Zhiheng's hug did not give her a sense of security. Instead, it brought her fear.
"Why didn't you save him?" Yan Anmo sobbed. She suddenly felt like she didn't understand the man in front of her; she didn't understand him at all.
Xi Zhiheng looked at Yan Anmo's glistening eyes. This was the first time he sensed distance and coldness from eyes that originally contained affection.
His heart suddenly stung and his refined and extraordinary face gradually turned dark, like he was Satan from hell.
"You've been frightened today, let me sleep with you," Xi Zhiheng didn't want to talk anymore. Instead, he lifted her in his arms and carried her straight towards the bedroom.
"Su Ci's leg was broken because he was trying to save me!"
"What about you?"
"Apart from spending an insignificant amount of money, what have you done?" Yan Anmo said between sobs as she struggled, hitting him on the chest and even biting him on the shoulder.
But, Xi Zhiheng did not respond.
After returning to the bedroom, he placed her on the bed and went to fill the bathtub with hot water.
"Go have a bath," Xi Zhiheng said without any emotion.
"I'm not bathing!"
"Su Ci's life is hanging by a thread!" Yan Anmo continued to cry like a child.
Xi Zhiheng was furious. He suddenly leaned in close to Yan Anmo, pressed his hands against the bed and stared at her.
"Yan Anmo, let me say it one more time. Go have a bath!"
Yan Anmo stopped crying, obviously sensing the man's anger.
Xi Zhiheng looked at the stunned girl. The tears on her face made her delicate and smooth skin twinkle like crystals. It reflected in his eyes and entered his heart.
Unusual waves of emotions began to stir. He frowned, swallowed, and immediately stood up.
He almost forgot that his girl had grown up.
"Go back to your room after you have a bath," Xi Zhiheng turned around, trying to control his tone of voice so it wouldn't seem like he had lost control.
He hated losing control the most.
Yan Anmo was worried about Su Ci, but she was also afraid of making Xi Zhiheng angry. The pressure from both sides made her struggle to breathe.
"Uncle Seven...Su Ci--"
"Quiet!" Xi Zhiheng finally lost it. Yan Anmo's every word was Su Ci!
She had never argued with him because of another person, yet, she was currently arguing with him because of a completely insignificant person!
Yan Anmo trembled in fear. This was the first time she had seen Xi Zhiheng lose his temper like this. In fact, she had no idea why he was so angry...
She looked into Xi Zhiheng's dark eyes and tears began to fall. The more she thought about it, the more she felt wronged.
"Uncle Seven, you've changed," Yan Anmo wiped her tears messily. She stood up from the bed, pushed Xi Zhiheng away, threw open the door and ran out without turning back.
She didn't want to spend another second looking at him. Not even one second!
That was when Xi Zhiheng realized he had truly frightened her. His refined and extraordinary face frowned. He never expected to lose control over something like this!
He didn't understand why he was so worked up about an insignificant rascal!
Xi Zhiheng tried to pull off his tie impatiently, but it didn't come off. It infuriated him even more. In frustration, he kicked the door.
At that moment, Housekeeper Liu rushed in anxiously. He had been sent on an external errand, but before he arrived, he heard Xi Zhiheng had risked his life returning on a private jet that was still under maintenance. It almost gave him a heart attack.
"Young Master, are you OK?" Housekeeper Liu asked with concern. He knew the man didn't like it when people showed concern for him, but he had watched him grow up and his heart was aching.
"The jet has been taken back to maintenance. You're lucky nothing happened. I hope you don't act so recklessly in future--"
"Uncle Liu, do you think I've changed as well?" Xi Zhiheng turned around tiredly.
Housekeeper Liu froze, unsure of how to respond.
"I won't forget my plan."
There was no expression on his face; not a trace of joy as his body gave off a cold vibe.
"Everything is still under control."
After he spoke, there was a dark aura in his eyes that was terrifyingly beautiful like a black gemstone salvaged from a thousand-year-old ice cave.
Housekeeper Liu pressed his lips together and did not make a sound as he gently bowed and retreated.
