Chapter 4 Create Trouble

  • After having lunch in the cafeteria, Yan Anmo slowly returned to the classroom. But...just as she opened the door and took a step inside...a bucket of water suddenly poured on top of her head!
  • Instantly, every single cell in her body turned cold!
  • There weren't many people in the classroom. Only Ding Shan and her friends saw Yan Anmo standing there like a drenched chicken as they held their stomachs in laughter.
  • Yan Anmo's clothes were completely soaked and they stuck to every inch of her skin coldly. The coldness hit her and she began to tremble a little.
  • Yan Anmo clenched her fists, lifted her head, and looked at Ding Shan with anger.
  • "Oh my!"
  • "Look, Ding Shan!"
  • "The good girl looks angry!" This taunt felt like a needle being inserted into Yan Anmo's heart.
  • "Hahahaha!"
  • "Hurry and look at her. It's hilarious!"
  • Each sharp and nasty word drilled into Yan Anmo's ears. Just because she didn't want to fight back, it didn't mean she was a coward. She simply didn't want to create trouble for Uncle Seven!
  • But this time, she couldn't endure it anymore!
  • Yan Anmo picked up a long ruler from a desk, rushed forward and slapped it against Ding Shan's face fiercely. She then raised it and hit it against her body without showing any mercy!
  • "Ah--!"
  • "It hurts!" Ding Shan did not expect this from Yan Anmo.
  • "Have you lost your mind, Yan Anmo?" Ding Shan tried to grab the ruler away. But, just as she turned her face...
  • There was a loud, "Pa--!"
  • The ruler hit Ding Shan's face fiercely!
  • From beginning to end, Yan Anmo's eyes did not blink once.
  • Ding Shan held her cheek speechlessly. Her knees fell weak and she knelt on the floor, unable to stop her tears. The girls beside her were terrified and hurried off to call the teacher.
  • Yan Anmo froze.
  • It seemed...she was in trouble...
  • "Yan Anmo!"
  • "Ding Shan's been disfigured!"
  • "You hit her!" The girl that had the closest relationship with Ding Shan grabbed the ruler from Yan Anmo while she was stunned, aimed it at her stomach, and hit her several times.
  • "She is the only daughter of the Ding Family. You're done for, Yan Anmo!"
  • Ding Shan's hatred surged into her heart. So, she picked up the ruler, gathered all her strength and tried to hit Yan Anmo in the face!
  • "Pa--!"
  • To everyone's surprise, the ruler fell on Su Ci's back.
  • Su Ci hugged Yan Anmo and blocked Ding Shan's revenge with his body.
  • Yan Anmo's mind went blank. Her gaze turned empty as she looked into Su Ci's worried eyes.
  • Apart from her Uncle Seven, this was the first time someone hugged her like this, and it was the first time she felt protected.
  • After the teacher arrived, Ding Shan was taken to the hospital and Yan Anmo and all the students present at the scene were called to the dean's office.
  • "Who attacked first?" Dean Zhang was notoriously serious and powerful.
  • Apart from Su Ci, the girls pointed to Yan Anmo. Someone even tried to fan the fire, "Dean Zhang, we were just sitting peacefully in the classroom when Yan Anmo rushed up to Ding Shan and started hitting her."
  • "You, whatever your name is, why did you hit her?" Dean Zhang asked sternly. He vaguely remembered that this girl had good grades, but she didn't have a noteworthy background.
  • Yan Anmo lifted her stubborn little face and looked at Dean Zhang without a word. Her eyes were filled with anger, but she did not make any excuses because she understood how Dean Zhang was.
  • "What's with your gaze?" Dean Zhang suddenly lost his temper.
  • "I can testify that Ding Shan attacked first!" Su Ci suddenly stepped forward when he saw the situation.
  • "Su Ci, you have no right to speak. Go back to the classroom!" Dean Zhang had never seen the gaze that Yan Anmo was giving him. Even hooligans didn't dare to look at him like that.
  • More importantly, Yan Anmo had no status nor background. This made him angrier because it made him feel like he had been disrespected.
  • "You--!" Dean Zhang pointed straight at Yan Anmo's nose.
  • "Tell your guardian to come see me!"
  • "Right now!"
  • "Immediately!"
  • When she heard this, Yan Anmo broke out in a cold sweat.
  • How could she...call her guardian...?
  • Xi Zhiheng was the city's most mysterious influential figure. In Yan Anmo's mind, she knew this man would never make an appearance because of her. Otherwise...
  • With this thought, Yan Anmo's gaze softened. She lowered her head as her nose tingled and she held back her tears.
  • "I've been teaching for over twenty years, but this is the first time I've encountered a student that's used that kind of gaze on me!" Seeing that Yan Anmo weakened at the mention of her guardian, the dean immediately lit up. A student's weakness was always their guardian.
  • "If your guardian doesn't come today, you will continue to stand here. If they don't come before school ends, then be prepared to stand here overnight!" Dean Zhang said as he pushed his landline phone towards Yan Anmo.
  • Yan Anmo's clothes were wet and she was standing against the icy cold wall, so she couldn't help but tremble. But, she remained stubborn and refused to make a phone call.
  • Time ticked by. Yan Anmo's body was soaked in coldness and she was struggling to endure it. Her head was dizzy and her body was weak.
  • She bit her lip. No matter what, she had to endure!
  • Inside Xi Villa.
  • Xi Zhiheng sat on the sofa, flipping through a magazine. Auntie Liu's food was already on the table, but Yan Anmo wasn't home yet.
  • "Call and see where she is," without lifting his head nor mentioning a name, he spoke calmly with no particular expression on his face.
  • Housekeeper Liu understood and called the driver in charge of picking up Yan Anmo. But, the answer he got was, the driver had no idea why he still hadn't seen the Young Miss either.
  • Xi Zhiheng frowned and put down the magazine in his hands.
  • "Prepare the car."
  • He was personally going to the school to pick up Yan Anmo.
  • However, as he approached the school, he noticed the school gates closing. This meant the teachers and students had all left.
  • But, Yan Anmo was nowhere to be seen.
  • A look of displeasure flashed across Xi Zhiheng's eyes, hiding his concern. Just as he was about to step out of the car, Housekeeper Liu stopped him.
  • "Young Master, I'm afraid this isn't a good idea. Let me go in and have a look."
  • Xi Zhiheng's expression turned cold. Raising his eyebrows, he said coldly, "Housekeeper Liu, you're becoming too controlling."
