Chapter 474 Complaint

  • In Mengmeng’s opinion, although all the members of the Xi family were not to be trifled with, Xi Zhiheng was a tough nut to crack himself as well. He was a man way more superior than Su Ci in several aspects, and Mengmeng was sure that Yan Anmo would be well protected by him no matter how his family was going to bully her. On the other hand, Mengmeng was not so sure Su Ci could do the same thing if Yan Anmo ended up with him.
  • Shortly after, she refuted Zhang Cheng’s statement, “I don’t agree. I think Xi Zhiheng is Anmo’s best choice. Although Su Ci’s family is smaller, his mother’s erratic personality is enough for her to handle. If Anmo really marries him, I reckon she’ll suffer even more hardship than marrying Xi Zhiheng. What’s more, from what I know of Su Ci’s character, I’m not sure whether he will even take Anmo’s side if any dispute arises.” Pursing her lips, Mengmeng shook her head.
  • Zhang Cheng was slightly annoyed by her criticism of his best buddy. Without thinking further, he snapped at her, “How could you say something like that about him? Su Ci is so noble that he’s willing to sacrifice anything for Yan Anmo. Even though she’s going to be married, he still gave her his sincerest blessing instead of trying to snatch her away from Xi Zhiheng. I don’t see why he’s a bad choice for Yan Anmo.”
