• David lay on the ground writhing in unimaginable pain. He couldn't believe those two fuckers had left him alive. The excruciating pain he was feeling stole the breath from his body and made his mind scream, but some part of him knew he would survive. Peyton had whispered it into his ear before handing Luke the knife. David cursed himself for trusting Peyton when he invited him to sleep with Kay at that dingy-ass warehouse. As much as it seemed like Peyton hated Kay, he would never let him fuck her in the dirt.
• Pain stole the light from the room and David drifted into oblivion. Maybe death had come for him after all. As he drifted in the dark of his mind, he thought he heard a voice from outside his mind. He didn’t know how long the dark had claimed him, but when he opened his eyes he was greeted with the sterile white walls of a hospital room. He had been saved, and he would not waste his chance this time. He would have what he wanted, and he would have his revenge on those mother fuckers.
