Chapter 13 A Deal Is A Deal
- Kay had been at my house for so long now that it felt normal. We had settled into a quiet routine of avoiding each other and only associating at mealtimes. I had tried at least once a day to persuade her into my bed, but she clearly wasn’t here for that; though I wish she was. Every day I felt further and closer from her simultaneously. Yes, we shared a space, but I never knew what was on her mind. At times I would catch her staring at me, her eyes drowning with desire, but she never acted on it. Her presence had left me more than wanting these past weeks. I decided to distract myself by hanging out at the local dive bar. My crew met there every other day, so it didn’t look out of the ordinary for me to want to be there instead of home. Plus, the guys didn’t know Kay was at my place and I wanted to keep it that way.
- “I’m heading out” I called into my seemingly empty house. From the hallway to my left Kay poked her head out of the bathroom and I could see that she was also getting ready to go somewhere. “Going somewhere?” I asked out of curiosity. She hadn’t told me she had plans today.
- “Yes,” she giggled “With you.” My heart sank into my gut. The minute the guys saw her all hell would break loose. Kay was the kind of pretty you lock down and kill for.
