Chapter 12 Kay Is Mine

• I stared angrily down at the phone in my hand. Kay had turned off the tracking app on her phone, but she didn’t know about the tracker I had hidden in her suitcase months ago. I waited two days after she left to check it. The Texas address on the screen glared up at me mockingly. I pushed her too far this time and the little deer had done what little deer’s do; she ran. She must have forgotten how much I enjoy the chase, but I would remind her. My flight wasn’t for another hour, so I found myself marinating in anger as I waited. Oh, the things I would do to her when I caught her. I couldn’t help but fantasize about all the ways I would make her beg to come home. First, I would have to manage this Luke situation. I knew she was talking to him again. I was always watching and every little smile at her phone let me know something was up. She was colder than normal before she left, and I should have seen it coming. I knew calling David had been a bit much, but I didn’t think it warranted her running away.
• I thought long and hard on what it would take to get her back. I couldn’t live without her and there was no way I was going to let her live without me. She could hate me, and I would still want every part of her. Kay is mine. There is no way in hell I am going to lose her to some washed up Texas gangster wannabe. I worked hard to build the life Kay dreamed of. I worked a stupid corporate job because that’s what she wanted. I don’t go golfing or stay out late drinking. All I want in return is total and complete submission. I would give her anything she asked for if she could do that. As I contemplated more on the situation at hand, a wicked idea came to mind. Something that could satisfy us both, a compromise of sorts. Overhead the flight attendant announced boarding for our flight. With a wicked grin I stood up from my seat. This would work. I could make it work.
